Eucharistic Adoration
“In a world where there is so much noise, so much bewilderment, there is a need for silent adoration of Jesus concealed in the Host. Be assiduous in the prayer of adoration and teach it to the faithful. It is a source of comfort and light, particularly to those who are suffering.” —Pope Benedict XVI
“When you look at the Crucifix, you understand how much Jesus loved you then. When you look at the Sacred Host you understand how much Jesus loves you now.” —Saint Teresa of Calcutta

Penance
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a sacred mystery of conversion from sin, confession of guilt, forgiveness of the wrong done and reconciliation with Jesus Christ and His Church. All Catholics over the age of reason (8) should come to the Sacrament of Reconciliation at least once a year during Lent or Eastertide and as often as necessary when conscious of serious sin. Anyone conscious of grave sin should not receive Holy Communion before being reconciled with God
Confession Times
Friday: 11:15 AM – 11:45 AM
Saturday, following the 8 AM Mass
Saturday 4 PM - 5 PM
Anointing of the Sick
There is no need to wait until a person is at the point of death to receive the Sacrament. Anointing may be repeated if the sick person recovers after the anointing but becomes ill once again, or if the person's condition becomes more serious. A person should be anointed before serious surgery (cf. Rite of Anointing, Intro, nos. 8-10).
Request the Sacrament
Please call the church office at 336.724.0561. Because of privacy laws, we have no way of knowing if you or a loved one is in the hospital unless you contact us.
Funerals
When a loved one dies, we are here to assist you with the funeral rites. Please begin by contacting a local funeral home to arrange to meet with their staff. During that meeting, all details will be discussed. A funeral home staff member will then contact St. Leo the Great to confirm a date and time for a wake and/or funeral. The office staff will then contact you to plan the funeral Mass.
